  • Assistant Project Manager/Assistant Construction Manager needed for education/DSA projects in San Mateo County.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established safety standards
  • Ensure all required documentation is properly filed
  • Assist in the creation and management of project budgets for assigned projects
  • Develop pre-construction RFP packages
  • Support the facilitation of project meetings, milestone setting, and the preparation of monthly owner reports
  • Establish job processes including RFIs, submittals, and pay applications, as well as approve pay applications and negotiate subcontract change orders
  • Update project schedules, oversee project quality control, and manage overall project logistics
  • Aid in the project closeout process
  • Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle

Profile

  • High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business from an accredited university is strongly preferred
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, with experience at a commercial general contractor preferred
  • Previous experience on commercial job sites is highly desirable
  • A strong passion for construction and the industry, with the ability to identify and seek high-quality work
  • Proficiency in sector/project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and JD Edward
