Qualifications




Minimum of 8 years piping estimating experience





Familiarity with high purity systems and process piping





Exceptional attention to detail





Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines



Experience in BioPharm and Semiconductor projects






Responsibilities




Responsible to accurately interpret project blueprints and specifications necessary for the completion of the Piping/Process portion of the bid packages





Responsible to perform other bid day activities such as communicate all addenda with sub-contractors and suppliers, and submit questions to project customer representative, as needed for clarification





Responsible to attend project pre-bid and walk-through meetings in preparation for bid submittal, as warranted





Responsible to receive, read and accurately interpret specifications, blueprints and addendums and route, as appropriate, for quotation to the sub-contractors and suppliers





Responsible to define the quotation requirements including equipment, fixtures, material and spreadsheet generation, as applicable





Project Quotes, Take Offs and Final Bid Summary





Responsible to review sub-contractor quotations for price, specification compliance





Assemble the final bid summary including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs





Perform quantity take-offs from blueprints to prepare labor and material requirements and costs





Responsible to ensure the final bid summary accounts for general requirement pricing including defined miscellaneous costs as required by the specifications





Responsible to support the Lead Estimator in final bid activities such as checking math, reviewing quotes, and attending the bid opening





Responsible to attend Project Manager/Superintendent hand-off meeting and deliver all bid documents





Responsible to review the scope of work and supply any information that is pertinent to the success of the project





Responsible to coordinate and communicate with subcontractors and others regarding associated work as needed for project success





Responsible to attend and contribute to the pre-construction meetings as a method of validating the construction estimates and providing clarification, as required
