Overview:
The Senior Manager of Ramp Operations will be directly responsible for the day-to-day on-site Ramp Operations of SFOTEC. The Senior Manager of Ramp Operations will, from time to time, provide the Director, Operations and Managing Director with reports, accomplishments, and issues related to the operation of the Ramp and associated equipment. The Senior Manager of Ramp Operations will seek approval and authority from the Director, Operations as necessary, to proceed with specific actions to be taken during the daily management of the operation. Responsibilities:
Represent the Managing Director and SFOTEC leadership as necessary.
Familiarity with the operative documents related to SFOTEC, including leases, contracts, agreements, and all other aspects of the Ramp Facilities.
Develop and maintain internal and external relationships including, but not limited to the following parties:SFOTEC Executive Committee
SFOTEC Member Airlines
Non-Member Airlines
SFOTEC Service Contractors
SFO International Airport Authority (SFIAA)
San Francisco Police Department (SFPD)
FIS Agencies
US Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration
Federal Aviation Administration
Third Party Organizations (Consultants, Attorneys, Accountants, Auditors, etc.)
SFO Community at large
Provide leadership guidance to SFOTEC Duty Managers and contracted service personnel.
Manage member and vendor relationships on a day-to-day basis.
Develop and maintain quality control standards for performance, reliability, serviceability, and safety of contracted vendors.
Anticipate, identify, and resolve service/operational problems with a results-oriented approach.
Idenifty, recommend and initiate enhancements/changes to processes and procedures to better support operational and service objectives.
Oversee day-to-day operational performance in the following areas:
Ramp Procedures, Ground Handling Agent (GHA) Aircraft Handling, and Operations
Passenger Loading Bridge Operations
Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Operations
Baggage Handling at Ramp Level
Coordination with Ramp Control Tower
Safety and Security Procedures on the Ramp
Others, as required
Keep all concerned parties informed of daily operational requirements and changes.
Share key performance indicators and results with concerned parties.
Ensure service standards are consistently understood and maintained.
Support/participate in ramp investigations related to alleged theft, non-compliance, or other related issues.
Participate in all SFIA, TSA, and SFPD irregularity drills to ensure operational effectiveness during actual events.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established service levels for performance, reliability, serviceability, and safety.
Respond to and resolve facility-related issues in a timely manner by initiating corrective actions.
Act as a liaison during airline operational irregularities, emergencies, and security incidents in ramp area. Prepare detailed narrative reports.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Director, Operations or Managing Director.
