Sales Director Renewable Energy Projects

Pay : $230,000 p/a + quarterly commission and annual company bonuses.

Contract type: Permanent/ Indefinite

Location: San Francisco, CA

As a Sales Director you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our renewable energy business. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales team, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and building strong relationships with key clients and partners within the utility, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of experienced B2B sales professionals.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.

Set and track sales targets and quotas.

Analyze sales performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Business Development:

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the utility, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at utility companies, independent power producers (IPPs), and corporate clients.

Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

Contract Negotiation:

Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.

Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

Proactively address client needs and concerns.

Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in B2B sales and business development, preferably in the renewable energy industry.

Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong sales teams.

Deep understanding of the solar and energy storage markets within the utility, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Ability to travel as needed.
