We are seeking a US Account Manager to join our growing commercial team! The US Account Manager at eMolecules has a pivotal role in creating and fostering long-term, trusting relationships with our customers and will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers to actively develop new business from existing clients; as well as actively seek new opportunities.

Customer base is pharma, bio-pharma, academic and med research organizations in the Life Sciences Industry; specific focus and interaction with drug discovery scientists and business management professionals within customer base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Will serve as lead point of contact for all customer account management matters and works cross-functionally with internal groups as needed to drive on-time delivery to customers and resolve order or customer issues.
  • Builds and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships; identify additional contacts to cultivate and grow relationship and business
  • Understands customer needs and develop plans to address them; help and train customers to use specific features
  • Develops trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensures the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Resolves customer complaints quickly and effectively; Assist with challenging requests and escalate as needed
  • Develops new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Collaborates with management, customer service and product development teams to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Forwards upselling and cross-selling opportunities to internal departments as appropriate
  • Approaches potential customers to establish relationships
  • Gains solid knowledge of competitors
  • Forecasts and tracks key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Prepares reports on account status; and clearly communicates the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Works closely with Client Services and Sales Support to monitor key metrics and maintain or exceed set goals by account


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher, in chemistry or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in account management as a key account manager, sales account manager or relevant role in life science industry
  • Highly motivated and target driven
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience delivering client focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to be effective and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Must have excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities and in-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Must be able to execute tactics to deliver planned outcomes
  • Must be able to travel within US
