Job description
Overview VTG is seeking a Systems Engineering (Architecture) to supporting Engineering Support Services in support of the Naval Operational Architecture program based in San Diego, CA. This position is 100% onsite due to the classified nature of the work that is being performed. What will you do? Identify risks associated with the development and implementation of the NOA Architecture, both external and internal, for efforts in the RDT&E phase of the acquisition life cycle. Provide functional knowledge and technical support of developing enterprise architecture to support MBSE to the NOA Chief Engineer. This support shall include data structure supporting Systems Modeling Language (SySML) and development of integration with current data models and tools in use by the NOA Chief Engineer. Monitor and track the as-is NOA Architecture, which includes fielded and programmed architectures focused on programs, projects, and their interfaces, both external and internal. Monitor, maintain, enhance and manage all system (software/hardware/network/configuration and data management) operations and system administration, integration, and data transfer for modeling and simulation tools, architecture tools, and data repositories within the Naval Integrated Modeling Environment (IME) Develop target architectures for platforms, enclaves, and systems based on Defense in Depth Information Assurance Functional Architecture (DFIA) by leveraging MBSE for efforts in the RDT&E phase of the acquisition life cycle Develop a roadmap for S&T, and provide forecasted NOA systems and capabilities for integration into forward-looking views of the Navy's Enterprise Architecture (EA), including Target Architecture. Include S&T initiatives and forecasting sync with Government, industry, and academic development activities. The support shall include technical input and reviews of technical documents, market and publication research, and production of S&T Roadmap artifacts. Attend meetings as required and provide technical analysis of meetings and documents to support the S&T Roadmap requirements, analysis, and integration with NOA development activities. Provide input in the review and analysis of Acquisition Engineering documentation for programs in the RDT&E lifecycle including: Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) System Architecture documents including: Operational Viewpoints (OVs), Systems Viewpoints (SVs), Technical Standards Views (TVs) and Information Support Plans (ISP); Symantec Endpoint Protections (SEPs), Cybersecurity Strategy, System-Level Continuous Monitoring (SLCM) strategy, System Security Accreditation Plans, and System Design Specification (SDS); Human System Integration (HSI) requirements and plans; System test and quality assurance plans to include TEMPs, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) plans, Software Development and Software Management Plans; Performance and requirements specifications and other technical documentation necessary to acquire capabilities including engineering CDRL definitions; Interface requirements to include definitive interface specifications, interface agreements and/or drawings. Interface requirements may include: electrical, physical, information flow, information control and information format characteristics. Assist in the development and update of AoAs determinations in support of program milestone requirements Do you have what it takes? Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering Top Secret SCI clearance US Citizen Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $80,000-$170,000, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
