Application: apply here, or on our Careers - Metronome (), email your resume to Recommend this job and share with a friend Description: We are seeking a Senior Contract Specialist with specialized expertise in federal acquisition and contract management for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role requires extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other relevant procurement regulations and is essential to supporting major DoD and Navy acquisition initiatives. The Senior Contract Specialist will independently manage and execute the full lifecycle of contracting tasks, from initial planning through contract administration. Required Skills Contract Compliance and Execution: Execute statutory and policy procurement-related requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and DoD 5000 series regulations.
Demonstrate expertise in the contracting processes for ACAT I programs, with a solid understanding of policy applications and regulatory compliance.
Contract Strategy Development and Market Research: Develop contract strategies aimed at incentivizing industry performance and achieving program objectives.
Conduct comprehensive market research, engage in acquisition planning, and execute cost and price analyses.
Manage all phases of the solicitation and source selection processes, ensuring competitive and compliant procurements.
Contract Documentation Development: Prepare essential contract documents, such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs), DD-254 forms, Acquisition Plans, Source Selection Plans, Justifications & Approvals, and Determinations & Findings.
Coordinate Contract Planning Conferences and Industry Days to support acquisition planning and stakeholder engagement.
Contract Administration Support: Provide support for contract administration by preparing Procurement Requests within Navy ERP, handling Modification Requests, issuing Technical Direction Letters, and managing other required government deliverables.
Assist in overseeing and managing existing contracts, ensuring timely and accurate execution of contractual obligations. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in contract management for DoD programs, specifically working with FAR/DFARS for Navy or DoD major acquisition contracts.
At least 3 years of direct experience supporting Navy system acquisitions.
Certifications: DAWIA Level III in Contract Management or equivalent (e.g., CFCM).
