We are seeking an Applications Developer to serve as an integral part of our software team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market-released products, demonstrating skills in an agile software environment. A customer-first approach is central to this role, directly supporting the ongoing development of complex CUAS systems in mission-critical applications. The candidate will cross-train with our lead software developer, as well as work alongside our principal software engineer to ensure a deep understanding of system requirements and capability roadmap. Additionally, there will be opportunities to engage with technical teams across the BlueHalo enterprise for integration with other sensors This role is an opportunity to make an impactful contribution to a system that helps ensure the safety of civilian and deployed personnel worldwide. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is highly desired. In person attendance: location/schedule: San Diego office, regular business hours

Primary responsibilities:

C++ application development

Data acquisition and real time data processing systems

Large code bases with many software components, libraries, and subsystems

Ability to work in an environment of Agile/Scrum software and test-driven development

Strong understanding of Linux OS with experience installing and configuring systems and peripherals

Understanding of Git software development workflows

Required Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline plus 10 years' experience.

Development and testing of software using C/C++/Python/shell script

Sensor data acquisition experience

Support senior developers to implement repairs, modifications, and upgrades to existing code

Generate diagnostic reports, technical guides, and software development documentation

Desired Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline plus 15 years' experience.

Salary Range: $140k - $190k

The BlueHalo pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
