Litigation Paralegal (5 years) - Immediate Need in San Diego!

A premier civil litigation firm based in San Diego is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its expanding team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in civil litigation matters and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, in-office position, but the firm promotes work-life balance with rare overtime. Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, discovery, record summaries and subpoenas
  • Conduct and research facts to prepare case accordingly
  • Prepare summaries and organize document files for discovery and trial
  • Research and analyze legal resources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, etc
  • Provide case management and organization from inception; discovery, trial and post-trial support. Review and analyze documents for production
  • Prepare and process pre-trial and document subpoenas and coordinate complex discovery on cases
  • Direct, coordinate activities of legal secretaries, records clerks, and services clerk on complex projects
  • Record billable time on client matters
  • Coordination of delivery of records to various interested parties including co-counsel and experts


Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in civil litigation.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • eDiscovery experience is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and OneDrive.
  • Knowledge of state and federal civil procedure.
  • Expertise in motions, discovery, evidence, and court rules.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to handle a high caseload.
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, and professional.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and co-workers.
