Serco supports the U.S. Navy by providing highly relevant and specialized High Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (H.E.M.P.) upgrade experience covering the globe. The Electrical Engineer shall support the development of draft engineering plans and specifications, perform risk identification/analysis/mitigation for HF, UHF, EHF communications systems and sub-Systems, reviews and creates schematic designs, and technical documentation. In this role, you will: Analyze system requirements, assess degree of operational capability to support system requirements, and recommend alternative approaches to satisfying system/functional requirements. Analyze system fault symptoms, assess degree of operational impairment/mission degradation, recommend alternate operational modes, and all necessary repairs. Develop, analyze, and/or revision of test methods, practices, and procedures, including test points, test features, and required test equipment. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have: Ability to obtain/maintain/transfer an active Secret clearance A highschool diploma/GED 3+ years' of relevant Electrical Engineering experience Experience in Electro-magnetics, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) commercial specifications, or radio frequency (RF) engineering Experience in electrical power and grounding systems Willingness to train in HEMP, EMI/EMC, power and grounding The ability to travel up to 25% of the time as needed Additional desired experience and skills: A bachelor's degree of science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). 5 or more years' documented recent experience in the design, construction and testing of electromagnetic shielded enclosures in accordance with MIL-STD-188-125 Series and MIL-HNBK-423. 5 or more years' recent Military, Navy or other relevant experience in complex systems and equipment design, analysis, integration, testing and reliability analysis. Familiariity with Navy Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) Familiarity with System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) Familiarity with Installation Design Plan (IDP) review and generation process Experince with RCM development, creation of Maintenance Requirement Cards and associated MIP.
