The Opportunity

The Cost Accounting Manager is a leader responsible for building out a Cost Accounting methodology and team that will support the Company as we approach commercialization and beyond. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and will be a leader in the upcoming effort to build a Supply Chain Module in our ERP Module in preparation for our commercialization that will require Inventory Management and a more robust Operational Accounting process. In the future, the Cost Accounting Manager will build out a global Cost Accounting team that aligns with our organizational footprint and act as both a direct and indirect manager to members of the global Cost Accounting organization. Further, the Cost Accounting Manager will have a focus on optimizing processes to be more scalable and efficient in preparation for future growth and globalization of the Company.

What You Will Contribute

• Review of workpapers within departments overseen with a constant focus on evaluating system capabilities to increase efficiencies and improve processes

• Effective delegation skills with the instincts to independently dig into the details where necessary

What We Seek

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• CPA License required
• 6+ years of combined industry experience including both Big 4 or other large national firm auditing and cost accounting within a publicly traded company
• Advanced working knowledge of US GAAP and a history of becoming subject matter expert in areas of oversight
• Advanced knowledge of SOX and audit requirements
• Advanced people management and leadership skills with the ability to create culture of accountability and performance management while maintaining work-life balance for themselves and the team
• Proactive and strategic mindset with ability to balance solving immediate problems and making progress towards longer term strategic goals
• Ability to evaluate system capabilities to increase efficiencies and improve processes
• Strong communicator who can communicate effectively within a matrixed organization

Preferred Background

• 2+ years of experience managing a Cost Accounting department in a standard costing environment
• Pharmaceutical or life sciences commercial experience
• Experience with D365 or other large ERP systems

What We will Provide to You:

• The base salary range for this role is $122,200 - $135,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
