Job description

Overview:
We are seeking an expatriate, Interior Communications (IC) Electrician to support our Aegis Ashore project in Deveslu, Romania.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions/Job Duties:

The project duties involve performing as the Technical Subject Matter Expert for Aegis Ashore Romania Interior Communication Systems.

Acts as the technical SME including technical evaluations, assessments, equipment functional checks, technical assists on communications systems, troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair, part installation, operation, and maintenance for these systems and equipment including peripheral, interfaced and support systems.

Duties for this position performs maintenance including fault isolation, tests, and repair on assigned equipment at the organizational level using reference documentation and Command directed maintenance procedures as well as supporting work package documentation for Gigabyte Ethernet Data Multiplex System (GEDMS), Integrated Voice Communications System (IVCS), Digital Integrated Announcing System (DIAS), AN/WSN-7 Inertial Navigation System (INS) and IC switchboards.

Ability to repair Fiber optic and video/display operations/maintenance as well as Digital Integrated Video distribution System (DIVDS) and video interfaces to IESS/VLS cameras.

Essential Physical Tasks:

Ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse on a consistent basis.

Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on an occasional basis.

WrittenCommunications:

Operates standard computer based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively.

Proficient in the reading, writing and comprehension of technical documentation and manuals.

Verbal Communications:

Demonstrates excellent clear and concise verbal communication skills.

Active communicator - giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.

Qualifications:
Skills/Qualifications:

Five (5) years experience working with interior communications systems and WAN/LAN Network Architectures

Customer Interface Activities:

Interfaces with customers and other contractor/civilian/military representatives utilizing clear and effective written and oral communication skills.

Provides input for consolidated event Daily Status Reports (DSR).

Work Schedule:

Standard 80

The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.

Minimum Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivelant

Required Certifications:

IAT Level II / CompTIA Security+ Required

Pay Range: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00, plus international benefits and allowances.

U.S. Passport is required

U.S. Citizenship is required

Security Clearance:

Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
