Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seekinga Sr Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support a classified program for National Geospatial Agency in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The team is seeking a self-starter engineer, experienced in standards-based architectures and CONOPS development to assist with the development and integration of MBSE technologies for a library modernization program. Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance Location: Rancho Bernardo, CA (hybrid, 2-3x/week) Responsibilities of the Sr Systems Engineer: Responsible for requirements definition, early timeline architecture design, and CONOPS development for predictive analytics systems
Collaborate with DoD and Intelligence customers to gather and define requirements
Lead prototype, testing, and development efforts for analytics systems
Apply knowledge and understanding of User interface design and development practices
Proficient in requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
Demonstrated leadership skills (supervisory experience, building teams, mentoring, building customer relationships) Qualifications of the Sr Systems Engineer: Active TS/SCI clearance required Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 10+ years of prior relevant experience
Experience supporting high level requirements gathering and documentation, responsible for developing Concept of Operations (CONOPS) Experience with analytics, tracking data, and/or operational data Utilize DevSecOps tools and processes (Git, Ansible, Terraform)
Experience with containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
Experience supporting cloud based environments (AWS/AZURE)
Understanding of user interface design and development practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to engage and collaborate with senior level leaders in the DoD and Intelligence community
Experience with MBSE/ UML SysML tools and concepts; DOORS, MATLAB, Simulink, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect
Familiar with standards-based architecture, interfaces and geospatial data
Compensation of the Sr Systems Engineer: Total compensation based on experience level - $180,000 - $210,000+ based on experience level
