POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Billing Specialist, Workforce Inclusion is responsible for reviewing, correcting, and collecting current and past due funds, reconciling invoices, and resolving billing disputes. Employees in this job class create, manage, and maintain billing records. This job class requires knowledge of accounting programs, word processing, and spreadsheet software, the ability to communicate effectively with others, and organizing and managing multiple projects.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. Manage accounts receivable2. Assess billing documents and other data for accuracy and completeness3. Research and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes4. Create billing summaries and aging reports5. Maintain accurate and detailed notes on customer accounts and collection activity6. Performs duties and special projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Three or more years of collections and account receivable experience•Demonstrate customer service and critical thinking skills to act responsively to customer inquiries and requests, and the judgment to escalate appropriately•Proficient software skills including accounting programs, word processing, and spreadsheet software to design, produce, and format reports and correspondence•Ability to communicate effectively including listening, verbal, and written•Demonstrate mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions•Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise flexibility;while meeting deadlines
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise.
