SHIFT:
Days: 7 am - 7 pm
JOB SUMMARY:
The RN works as the leader of the healthcare team to ensure excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care. The RN is responsible and accountable for patient care provided by assigned nursing staff. As the leader of this healthcare team, the RN ensures that an individualized plan of care is provided for all patients and their families.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current RN licensure to practice in California.
Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's preferred, with a minimum of one year acute care experience and one year Labor & Delivery experience, or two or more years of Labor & Delivery experience.
BLS certification required and maintained.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required and maintained thereafter.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification required within 3 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required within 3 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in the English language.
Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, and co-workers.
Provides nursing care in a positive manner that is consistent with the policies, objectives, goals, mission, and vision of the hospital and nursing department.
All nurses participating in the care of Labor and Delivery will complete an annual assessment of EFM principles.
Stable certification is not required, however, it is preferred.
