Chevron Products Company is accepting online applications for the position of Driver/Equipment Operator located at our Richmond Refinery, CA through October 10th, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

The Truck Driver/Equipment Operator will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction types of work in the field and shop settings of the refinery, requiring journey-level skill. Qualified successful candidates will perform duties such as Operating equipment and cranes inside and outside the Richmond Refinery.

As a 24/7 operating refinery, working overtime, weekends, holidays, and shift work is required.

Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Technical Job Knowledge - Demonstrated experience operating Heavy Equipment and driving commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures, practices, and routine duties.

• Teamwork - Ability to work cohesively as a team inside and outside the organization.

• Must be highly motivated, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and require minimal supervision.

• Flexibility - Willingness to work overtime and/or change schedules to accommodate business needs, which may include swing shifts, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

• Safety - Successful candidates will possess strong knowledge of safe work practices and foster a safe work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Valid Class A Driver's License.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent work experience in a related industry, or an Apprenticeship or Certificate from a Trade/Technical School.

• Must have strong team and communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

The following endorsements and certifications are preferred.

  • Certified Crane Operator Certificate.
  • DMV Passenger Endorsement.
  • DMV Hazmat Endorsement.
  • DMV Tanker Endorsement.
  • TWIC Certification
  • Refining or Petrochemical experience.

Operations & Maintenance Assessments

IMPORTANT NOTE:
