Overview
Dignity Health - North State is recruiting an Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Redding, CA. 1-3 years of experience in surgical environments is preferred, but new grads and providers with non- orthopedic experience may still be considered.
We are a multi-specialty group that is physician-led and patient centered. We are affiliated with Mercy Medical Center-Redding and aligned with one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the nation and the largest hospital system in California.
Practice Highlights:
- Join an experienced Total Joint Replacement (Hips/Knees) team
- Mixed practice: 1st assist, clinic pre-ops and post-ops
- 4 day work week, no weekends
- Collaborative and collegial Orthopedic Surgeons and APP team
- Good work/Life balance; one clinic location, one hospital
- Emphasis on high quality of care over quantity (but we are still very busy!)

- 1-3 years of orthopedic or surgical experience preferred
- Open to both new grads and PA's/NP's with non-surgical experience who are excited and passionate to learn Orthopedics
- Compensation range:
- NPs: $135,000 - $145,000
- PAs: $135,000 - $160,000

Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide clear and concise medical information.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Diagnostic Procedures:
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
- Perform procedures as needed
- Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Compliance:
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Training from an accredited NP or PA program
- Possession of CA licensure
- Excellent communication skills
- 1 or more years of post-training experience desirable

Pay Range
$64.00 - $76.00 /hour
