Job description

TIAG is now hiring an Information System Security Officer to join our team supporting a Navy customer at Port Hueneme, CA. On this program, TIAG provides technical expertise in Cybersecurity to support a newly formed team. The team's objective is to evaluate systems critical to Navy's mission and develop a strategy to secure them. The primary function of the team is having a holistic understanding of network architecture, ports and protocols, behavior patterns, computing technologies, operating systems, applications, and electronic devices to identify security anomalies and events. They hunt for threats and analyze malicious software to stop them from interrupting operations around the world. The ISSO team member is responsible for securing the information system that protect and detect anomalies and support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities. An ideal candidate for this position will have experience with system administration/management of mainly Microsoft-based software and have an understanding of network and Linux. The candidate will work with the team, including customer, to improve the security posture and make recommendations on newer technologies or solutions. Position Responsibilities: Install, configure, and/or troubleshoot operating systems and applications Setup and maintain IT and Operational Technology (OT) hardware equipment like rack-mount servers and Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS), and assist with planning for future additions Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure the system Assist Information System Security Manager (ISSM) with RMF activities, including remediating/mitigating and developing policies and documentation Perform back-ups, restores, purges and on-going management of data, systems, software and HW Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or manuals for internal processes and system configurations Develop, maintain, and communicate diagrams, system configurations, and technical documentation Assist Blue Team remediate or mitigate vulnerabilities identified for the system Support Red Team with identifying risks and vulnerabilities in IT/OT environment utilizing cyber security toolkit Research tools, techniques, and trends in Operational Technology (OT), network, application and operating system vulnerabilities and securing Work with the cyber team to conduct vulnerability assessments Required Experience: DoD Top Secret Clearance Bachelor's degree in relevant field from accredited university is highly desired CompTIA Security+ CE ISSO experience Experience with administration / managing Windows-based software Working knowledge of network ports and protocols and operating systems (Linux) Experience with ICS/SCADA protocols and applications is highly desired Effective written and verbal communications skills TIAG is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
