Job description

Job Title: Scientist - Level I, Level II, Senior Level

Location: 4300 Hacienda Drive, Pleasanton, CA (On-site)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Contract Length: 1 year (Possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and business needs)

Target Start Date: 1/5/2025

Pay:

Level I/II: $30.69 to $44.23 per hour

Senior Level: $37.74 to $53 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking Scientists at various levels (Level I, Level II, Senior Level) to join our team. The role involves conducting and monitoring laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of experimental results. As a Scientist, you will work under general supervision and may contribute to process improvements, troubleshoot instrumentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct laboratory experiments, utilizing established methods and procedures.

Analyze experimental data, and apply quantitative methods to draw conclusions.

Communicate findings through reports and presentations, both internally and externally.

Follow internal safety guidelines and adhere to relevant regulatory standards (OSHA, bloodborne pathogens, respiratory protection).

Maintain accurate documentation in electronic notebooks.

Troubleshoot equipment and ensure compliance with ISO, QSR, and safety standards.

Collaborate with other scientists, teams, and departments to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications:

Level I/II: Ph.D., Master's, or Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemical sciences, or a related scientific field, with 0-3 years of relevant industry experience (Level II requires more experience).

Senior Level: Ph.D., Master's, or Bachelor's degree with 2-5+ years of relevant industry experience.

Other Qualifications:

Ability to design and execute laboratory experiments with a clear understanding of project goals.

Comfortable working with bloodborne pathogens, radiological, and biological hazards.

Comfortable working with hazardous chemicals and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as lab coats, gloves, respirators, and eye protection.

Work Environment:

Will be working with potentially hazardous chemicals, radiological, and biological hazards.

Ability to wear PPE and comply with safety protocols is essential.
