SUMMARY

Provide technical support for the Employee Benefits Senior Account Executive in processing all lines of employee benefits insurance in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined by the Employee Benefits Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

- Service and help the team maintain a high retention of the existing book (95% or better).

- Process renewals and new business, cancellations and policy amendments/changes.

- Provide and maintain service to clients, including claims assistance.

- Responsible for marketing and completing proposals in a timely manner.

- Maintain and be responsible for Expiration Log/Renewal List.

- Negotiate renewal policies.

- Provide technical review of renewals, proposals, claims data, projections, different funding options, as necessary for larger clients where the data is available.

- Provide Senior Account Executive with new and renewal proposals, coverage summaries and client check lists for presentation to clients.

- Help Senior Account Executive prepare RFP responses and presentations for prospects.

- Help Senior Account Executive with account rounding, and new client onboarding.

- Organize and attend enrollment meetings and health fairs, as needed.

- Check policy coverages, changes and amendments for accuracy and relevance.

- Ensure that assistant inputs/amends client, policy, coverage, premium and billing information into computer system and keeps current at all times.

- Adhere to procedures set forth for the department and Bolton & Co., including following Employee Handbook policies, E&O prevention and properly maintaining information in Epic.

- Maintain excellent communication, attitude and rapport with internal and external clients.

- Behavior consistently reflects the best interest of the client and team.

- Help Senior Account Executive with training and mentorship of team members.

- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our partners, carriers and vendors.

- Must be available for offsite meetings with clients.

- Must have a valid CA driver?s license with a good driving record.

- Perform other specific duties as requested from time to time.

- Stay current with new products, systems, and legislative updates.

- Pursue a program for personal and professional development.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or ten or more years related experience and/or training. Bachelor s degree preferred.

Designations, Licenses

Must hold required insurance agent license and be responsible for maintaining such license through attendance at mandatory continuing education courses. CEBS designation preferred.
