Job description

We are an emerging, private, elementary Microschool in Pasadena with a child with cerebral palsy. We are seeking an aide to support her to navigate and access school (assisted sitting, walking, standing), curriculum activities (eg painting, typing) and self-care needs (eg eating, hygiene). The right fit: team player, eager to learn, a gentle and friendly demeanor, relationship driven, and has the right mindset, always starting with a presumption of competence and capability.

Given the nature of her disability, someone with OT or PT experience working with children with neuro motor involvement, or a desire to gain this experience, is highly valued. There will be collaboration and training with this child's current therapy team.

Min 1 yr commitment, ideally much longer - we are looking to find someone who will sustain a relationship with this child for multiple school years. We are also a small and growing school and there is a need and opportunity to support the school more broadly as we add students. This job can be structured as part time or full time depending on the candidate.
