The Manager of Physical Security will be responsible for leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) team that, on a 24/7/365 basis, monitors for and alerts on security threats that may impact business continuity and/or the safety of the company's people, facilities, and assets around. This position will report into the Director of Security and will serve as the SOC's team leader and will supervise additional team members within the California region, overseeing the team's overall performance and scheduling. The manager will generally work a standard schedule Monday-Friday; however, s/he will be expected to occasionally work a flexible schedule when the need arises to cover shifts for other team members as needed to prevent any gaps in coverage, such as when another team member takes paid time off or requires scheduled use of sick leave. Primary Responsibilities: Develop an expert understanding of the company's business model and asset locations, ensuring that the SOC's reporting is tailored to the company's specific needs.
Ensure the SOC's threat severity and reporting matrix is regularly reviewed and refined so that it accurately guides the processes and alert reporting produced by the SOC security team.
Ensures operational excellence across team. Establishes and maintains processes, procedures, and SOPs, playbooks, training materials, business reviews, and other such documentation as needed for team operation and performance. Communicates processes and training metrics to the Director of Security.
Trains and drills team including regional team leads on SOPs, ERT response and protocols.
Owns the team's staffing schedule, ensuring consistent, always on coverage. When necessary, adjust s/he work schedule to ensure always on coverage when other team members must take time away from work.
Provides a customer-service oriented approach for the company and department, which may include availability to support incidents outside of normal working hours.
Act as the team's senior analyst and editor, providing editing, revision, and feedback to ensure highest quality including accuracy of all reporting and communications being produced by the SOC, to always include grammatical and factual accuracy.
Participate in alert monitoring and reporting and serve as senior editor when needed, while providing consistent feedback to team members.
Ensure all team members attend and receive professional training needed to enhance their skills and develop their careers.
Establishes and maintains productive relationships with key stakeholders and customers both internally and externally. Minimum Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance and be willing and able to obtain SCI accesses, should the need arise.
Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience
Bachelor's degree, four additional years of experience can be substituted for a degree.
Must be able to work flexible schedule as required.
Experience with security technologies including CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems.
Experience in managing security operations and security personnel and delivering high quality, customer-oriented security programs. Preferred Requirements: Current/active TS/SCI
Excellent writing and editing skills, demonstrable ability to write concise reports suitable for a corporate executive audience.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Excellent critical thinking skills that bolster both analytic work and suitability for serving in a lead role.

Ability to lead projects by navigating priorities, measurable objectives, dependencies, planning, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and subsequent monitoring.
Ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.

Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $98,000.00 - $207,000.00 annually.
