Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Leverages understanding of materials and processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Works within a model based engineering environment (3DX/iBASEt). Position requires periodic travel. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have an Active Secret Clearance with investigation in last 5 years or Continuous Evaluation enrollment Special Access required to start
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (Preferred STEM Degree) with 14-16 years of experience Aircraft Sub-systems assembly and integration
On vehicle troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems
Jet engine integration, service and maintenance familiarity
Aircraft structures assembly
Manufacturing assembly work instruction authoring and work planning
Hands-on production floor support (Direct ownership and support of specific manufacturing operations as well as interface with touch-labor employees)
Reviews and redlines of engineering technical drawings and models PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Wire harness and interconnect installation/ integration
Aircraft fuel systems
Development/ protype/ first article program support
Testing of aircraft sub-systems
Metallic part machining working knowledge
3DX and Catia V5 software usage
GD&T proficiency
Critical hardware move procedures
Evaluation of designs with respect to design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) considerations
Composite Fabrication and Composite Assembly
Working with CNC Machine Operators
