Job description

Summary:

The Payroll Support, Advanced, will report to the Manager, Payroll Operations. In this role you will be responsible for proactive collaboration with customers and internal business partners. Knowledge of Federal and State legal requirements, pay regulations and overtime compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, processing requests for paycheck advances, and processing terminations

Maintain knowledge of tax rules and regulations that govern payroll administration practices and ensure that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies, as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Assist department managers and staff by answering complex payroll procedural questions, as well as researching and resolving payroll problems and discrepancies difficult in scale

Cross train new and existing staff on general payroll processes and procedure

Process standard and complex payroll transactions including but not limited to calculation of regular and supplement cycles

Bank processes: process reversals, returns, stop payments and reconciliation

Assist with Payroll escalations for missing pay

Over-payment calculations and collections

Leave of Absence process and calculations

Skills:

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

Ability to work independently and manage one's time.

Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.

Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.

Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred.

5-7 years relevant experience required.

Compensation:

The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
