Job description

Job Description: As a inspector specializing in MEP systems you will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP systems and new installations meet the required standards and specifications. The inspector will perform regular inspections, audits and trend analysis to assess maintenance as well as develop recommended actions for compliance/enhancement. The role requires a strong understanding of MEP systems, industry standards, and quality assurance/control processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and standards.

  • Work along-side reliability engineer to develop programs and processes aimed at improving the performance of MEP systems for our accounts

  • Assist with technical aspects of root cause analysis on failed commercial MEP equipment and develop strategies to prevent future failures

  • Collaborate and work cross functionally with teams across the account to provide program development support

  • Utilize computer programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to effectively communicate and summarize findings

  • Maintain a strong attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality results

Experience and Technical Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in MEP QA/QC inspection or a related field.

  • Exceptional skills in performing equipment inspections and summarizing findings

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and/or programs

  • Proficient in using computer programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook for data analysis and communication

  • Strong attention to detail and a drive to produce high-quality results

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Technical training and/or certifications (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, or other industry-related certifications) are preferred.

  • Experience in developing inspection checklists/ programs
