Key Responsibilities

Ensure rigorous compliance with quality control systems in aerospace sealants and analytical lab operations in Mojave

Conduct comprehensive testing of products, aligning with customer specifications and industry standards, including Nadcap and AS9100

Work with lab and manufacturing personnel to adjust production batches and resolve quality issues

Establish quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of product quality and reliability

Manage a dynamic team of chemists and technicians in the sealants and analytical labs

Investigate and address quality complaints, identifying causes and implementing corrective actions, including process improvements to enhance agreement on customer and production needs

Define quality requirements based on current customer specifications, regulations, and accreditations

Promote the concept of personal and departmental responsibility for quality, contributing to the delivery of quality awareness and skills training programs

Collaborate in building an organization-wide, prevention-oriented quality program

Contribute to the establishment and monitoring of quality improvement projects, overseeing multifunctional project teams

Qualifications

Five (5) years of Quality related experience in a manufacturing, research, or similar environment and a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required

Knowledge of PPG sealant products, their use in the field and how they are tested and manufactured preferred

Five (5) years of management, supervisory, or lead experience preferred

Familiarity with aerospace coatings or sealants manufacturing preferred

Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Candidate Must have

Five (5) years of Quality related experience in a manufacturing, research, or similar environment and a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required

Knowledge of PPG sealant products, their use in the field and how they are tested and manufactured preferred

Five (5) years of management, supervisory, or lead experience preferred

Familiarity with aerospace coatings or sealants manufacturing preferred
