Technical Program Manager

Location: Remote USA - onsite Menlo Park preferred

Competitive Compensation: $85+/Hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday (40 hrs), standard business

Contract Duration: Initial 12-month W2 (expected extensions/conversion)

Start Date: Targeting December 2024

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled technical program manager, with experienced Cloud capacity planning and efficiency to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing cloud infrastructure and usage, managing budgets, allocation of compute and storage capacity and ensuring efficiency across multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

Optimize cloud infrastructure and usage for efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Manage allocation and ensure that spending is aligned with business objectives

Identify and implement cost-saving measures, such as rightsizing resources and eliminating unused assets

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure meets business needs

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design documents

Provide technical guidance and support to other teams, as needed

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements

Must-Have:

3+ years of experience working with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Proven experience with budgeting and efficiency optimization in a cloud environment

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to push back and provide alternative solutions

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex problems and advocate for solutions

Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and manage multiple priorities

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with multiple teams

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Previous experience as a developer, with a strong understanding of software development principles

Experience supporting infrastructure, including GPU-related and machine fleet management

Familiarity with Meta's culture and previous experience working with the company

Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy
