AECOM is seeking an established professional services leader in the Transit-Rail sector to support the Division Manager to drive the growth, strategy, and profitability of AECOM's services in the West Coast of the United States. This individual will be part of the senior leadership team for the West Coast Transportation Business Line reporting directly to West Coast Transit-Rail Division Manager and will share responsibilities with the Division Manager on P&L for the Transit-Rail Division. The Deputy Division Manager will provide leadership and coaching to staff in various subjects including, but not limited to, account management, business development, capture management, and project delivery. The ideal candidate will be an industry leader with existing relationships at key transit agencies in California and Washington. The Transit-Rail business line at AECOM spans the full suite of services including environmental, planning, engineering, design, and program and construction management. With AECOM's recent East San Fernando Light Rail Progressive Design and Build award, AECOM continues to be a leader in alternative delivery for transit-rail programs on the West Coast and the Deputy Transit-Rail Division Manager will need the skills to continue recruiting at a fast pace for this major DB project, while balancing a focus on winning more major transit-rail projects. This leader will need to be a self-starter who can build a high-performing team rapidly, demonstrate a successful track record in winning work, and be experienced in running a profitable business.
This position is expected to begin immediately.

Job Summary/Responsibilities
The Transit-Rail Deputy Division Manager will need to be a growth minded leader who can support the Division Manager and work collaboratively with other senior leadership and mentor staff in a dynamic setting to drive business development, capture management, account management, project management, project delivery, technical excellence and quality, while ultimately growing a profitable business. The ideal person would be a civil engineer with delivery experience, and both growth and P&L experience.

Lead negotiations of contractual and financial agreements with clients and sub-consultants

Key Performance Indicators include contribution margin, sales, revenue earned, bookings, book-to-burn, backlog growth, market share, wallet share, client satisfaction, hiring and staff retention, safety, and ED&I.
