Job description

Job Summary:

The System Technician will provide diagnosis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution related to operating systems, hardware, and software for clients and end-users in an editorial and graphics production environment. The role will work under minimal supervision to respond to calls and helpdesk tickets, provide support in accordance with established processes, and document incidents and remedies. This role will also escalate complex incidents to second-level support personnel.

Requirements

Specific Accountabilities:

Troubleshoot software, hardware, VPN, and basic networking issues.

Install and update software on desktops, laptops, remote workstations.

Respond to help desk tickets, support calls and walk-ups.

Move and set up editorial and graphics workstations.

Create and maintain user accounts.

Maintain video conferencing equipment.

Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.

Deliver service and support with professionalism.

Communicate issue status and resolution to users.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge Desired:

Enthusiastic self-starter who works well in a distributed team environment

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong interest in systems administration and customer service.

Ability to work with technical and non-technical users.

Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

Mac OSX and Microsoft Windows support experience.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience using, installing, and supporting various editorial and gra phics software packages: Adobe Creative Cloud, Davinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, and general office applications.

Linux and VMWare experience a plus.

General data networking and cabling knowledge.

Basic Python and/or Shell scripting a plus.

Experienced Required:

2-5+ years in an IT Help Desk role.

Established working experience in an agency environment

Must have a strong passion for providing excellent customer service.

Must always have a professional demeanor when interfacing with users and peers, conveying trust and confidence
