Volt is immediately hiring for Shipping Lead in Torrance, CA.

As a Shipping Lead you will:

• Ensure that truck drivers depart with appropriate paperwork;
• Direct and coordinate the activities of wrapping team to assist in preparing orders;
• Stage finished orders for shipping and load trucks;
• Lead shipping teams to accomplish safely on-time, complete, correct assignments;
• Perform other duties as assigned by management;
• Adheres to company policies and procedures. Report any employee or process concerns to Management;
• Follows and encourage all safety practices reporting any concerns to a Safety Team member or member of Management;
• Ensures the quality of finished goods in the shipping process;
• Maintaining inventory of all shipping materials; cycle counting of inventory;
• Maintains a positive and collaborative work environment (in the department and across other functions);
• Preparing commercial invoices and S.E.D.s as required for international shipments;

This is a full-time opportunity Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm open to overtime.
The ideal candidate will have Mandatory Skills:

• 3+ Years of previous Warehouse, Distribution or 3PL experience Required
• Previous ERP and/or WMS preferred (SAP a PLUS!)
• Microsoft Office experience such as Word, Excel and Email a Plus
• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• High School Diploma or GED Required

Pay Rate: $27-$30 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
