Job description

Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Casino Audit Manager is to manage and lead the Audit Staff by reviewing the daily audits and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position will assist the Controller by managing the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for the responsible gaming finance process areas, regulatory compliance, gaming audits and casino accounting.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates the daily audit functions, including scheduling and disciplinary recommendations and actions.
• Performs Revenue and Title 31 daily audits when needed.
• Works with Controller to create new audits or analytical tools as the need arises.
• Reviews reports and statements prepared by Audit for accuracy and any unusual occurrences; assists in monthly reconciliations as designated by the Controller.
• Ensures completion and accuracy of the Daily Operational Reports. Analyzes expense trends and adjusts expense forecasts for future months. Reissues monthly Daily Operating Report after financials are finalized.
• Analyze and recommend new work procedures to Controller and identify potential improvements to work-flow involved in posting, summarizing, verifying, and recording, balancing, reviewing and correcting transactions.
• Works directly with internal and external auditors and other outside regulatory agencies to offer inspection of documentation and assists in the preparation of all necessary documents prior to an external audit.
• Perform a wide variety of ad hoc special projects that may include collaboration with management of other departments.
• Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization to ensure efficient and safe operation of all Audit department areas; assists in inventory counts, and participates in audits as needed.
• Provide information and assistance for the preparation of any required reports, including hold % variances from Slots and Table Games.
• Oversee personnel responsibilities to include: hire, lead, mentor, train and develop a team of Supervisors, Leads and Auditors by providing challenging opportunities to leverage and improve abilities; provide support, consistent and timely feedback and coaching to build future leaders.
• Attends meeting in the absence of the Controller and/or the Chief Financial Officer.

• Establishes all audit deadlines to follow the guidelines set forth by the Controller.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors' degree (BS/BA) and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience required.
• Minimum of four years of casino experience preferred.

Pay range: $71,500 to $93,000 per year

Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am. This is not a smoke free workplace. Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is present in the work environment.
