About the Team:
VIZIO's Product Management team is seeking a Product Manager - Certifications for TV products. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to research new features and contribute to product specifications, build technical feature specification documents, manage PRD process, manage certification process for packaging, regulatory compliance, and technology/software/app license programs, and draft test plans for qualitative testing with manufacturers that has a direct and measurable impact on the company's product roadmap.

The Product Manager will report to the Senior Director of Product Management - TV and provide support to the Product Management team. As shared resource this position will also support compliance and certification matters not only for TV but also for Audio and accessory products.

What You Will Do:
Drive roadmap for packaging for TV products with ODMs and internal teams for better costs, better protection of products and new packaging materials.

Manage testing and approval process for packaging with ODMs and internal teams.

Manage PRD approval process with ODMs and internal team to ensure to meet each NPI milestone schedule.

Communicate the technical feature specification of VIZIO products to Management, Sales & Marketing, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, etc,

Create and maintain technical documentation, database and presentation materials to support product information sharing with other departments within the company.

Manage and maintain US Federal, State, and Software/Technology Licensing compliance programs for VIZIO's consumer electronics hardware including high-definition televisions, home theater, sound bars and other audio equipment, and related accessories.

Partner with VIZIO's supply chain to ensure on-going legal and regulatory product level compliance such as IEC/UL (phone number removed), CEC, FCC, ATSC, TSCA, RoHS, etc.

Partner with the VIZIO Legal Compliance Team to monitor Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations that could impact VIZIO's hardware development or sales, including but not limited to product safety, energy efficiency, chemicals restrictions, environmental design, and disabled accessibility requirements.

Implement new legal or regulatory compliance policies and procedures related to VIZIO's hardware as needed or at the request of VIZIO's Legal Compliance Team.

Communicate compliance requirements and compliance data to VIZIO internal teams for reporting or public disclosure requirements.

Complete WERCS Registration for VIZIO hardware as required.

Assist with Federal and State product compliance registrations as necessary, such as FCC, CEC, and DOE.

Support marketing on product User Manual and Quick Setup Guide to deliver them on schedule and with accuracy in accordance with NPI schedule

Manage Propel, MDM and ePRD system with IT and Marketing to ensure relevant and correct product spec and information are communicated on customer facing marketing materials.

About You:
You have a minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.

You have 1-2+ years product management or project management in consumer electronics product field.

Experience with structural design on packaging for consumer electronics products is a plus.

You have experience working with compliance and certification process for consumer electronics products.

You enjoy being organized and possess a high attention to detail.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tell complex stories simply and adapt to questions, rather than just presenting information

You have strong project management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects and cross-functional stakeholders simultaneously to drive outcomes within often tight deadlines or quick turnaround times

You have expertise with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

For California-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $90,000/year. The maximum salary for this position $118,000/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
