This position is housed in the Department of Health, Society, and Behavior within UC Irvine's Joe C. Wen School of Population and Public Health.

As part of the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences, the mission of the UC Irvine Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health is the achievement of health equity for all populations through research, teaching, service, and public health practice, locally and globally. Championing the principles of evidence-based public health science, Wen Public Health aspires to understand and impact population-level social, biological, and environmental determinants of health and well-being.

Responsibilities:
The Project Policy Analyst 3, Project Manager, will support a variety of research and administrative activities with responsibilities that include internet and library research on various topics, IRB proposal development, support with applications for analytic datasets and data acquisition, analysis and coding of state-level health care policies, preparing budgets for grant proposals, drafting and reviewing supporting materials for grant applications (e.g., facilities page, biosketches), managing and tracking spending for current awards, reimbursements and purchasing, and scheduling team meetings. These responsibilities will require working closely with the principal investigators (Dr. Tim Bruckner, Dr. Alana LeBron, and Dr. Brandy Lipton) and UCI administrative staff. This position requires strong organization skills and attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and the ability to multi-task.

Qualifications:
Required:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

Analytical / problem-solving skills.

Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.

Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

Strong policy analysis techniques.

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training

Preferred:

Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
