Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Engineer - Software Testing Automation to join our growing team. Reporting to the Automation Engineering Manager, the Software Testing Automation Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary team to create test software products required to build, integrate, and test space vehicles at both the sub-system and system levels. The Software Testing Automation Engineer will develop, execute, and support a comprehensive set of test software applications and tools. A candidate in this role would also be responsible for the configuration management of said applications and tools and regularly communicating progress and issues to management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the development of software scripts and test tools which enable automated testing and reports for satellite hardware

Interface with engineers and technicians to advance to larger-scale manufacturing and automation

Assist with evaluating proposed designs for testability and integration into sub-systems

Create documentation and training material as necessary

Support debugging and troubleshooting on-site and remotely during off hours as needed

Work effectively in an Agile environment with a proactive mindset

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or related technical discipline

2+ years of demonstrated test scripting experience

Additional Differentiators

Strong software background. Either database back-end, test scripting, or web front-end. Python, Java, C++, SQL, LabVIEW, CSS, UI/UX tools, etc

Experience with test automation scripting

Experience with data analysis and visualization

Documentation and configuration management experience

Experience using Linux-based operating systems

Experience interfacing with various aerospace software and hardware

Experience in a production environment

Experience working in a laboratory setting, particularly a cleanroom with ESD precautions

Experience with machine learning or vision algorithm frameworks

Salary Range $85,000-$130,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking.
