SUMMARY: The Site Medical Director will provide servant leadership and medical expertise to ensure the highest quality of healthcare services for the underserved patient community at Alliance Medical Center (AMC). This role involves oversight of medical staff, implementation of key workflows, and collaborating with all other AMC departments including operations, nursing, behavioral health, referrals, dental, optometry and others. It also includes collaboration with the quality department to support and achieve the highest possible care to our underserved patient community. This person supports clinical excellence, access to health services, patient and provider satisfaction, and facilitates a positive work environment on clinical teams. The Site Medical Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the center's clinical operations to align with its mission and values. This role is designed to be an additional part-time leadership role for a physician or advanced practice clinician who also provides medical services at AMC part-time.

Some Responsibilities Include:

Lead, manage, and mentor medical staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Provide clinical oversight and consultation for complex cases, guiding medical staff in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Directly supervise clinical staff including performance reviews, time and labor oversight, and coach and mentor staff with training needs to meet organizational standards of professionalism, clinical excellence, and productivity.

In collaboration with CMO, provide strategic leadership and direction to medical staff, ensuring the delivery of culturally sensitive and patient-centered care.

Collaborate with the CMO, other department leaders, and key stakeholders to develop and implement medical programs that address the unique healthcare needs of the community we serve (e.g., EPIC Optimization, Empanelment, Team-based Care, Enhanced Case Management).

Requirements:

Education/Experience

Current and unrestricted medical license or advanced practice license (PA, FNP, MD or DO) to practice in California. May be in process.

Board certification in a relevant primary care specialty.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare, with at least 2 years; ambulatory and FQHC experience preferred.

Strong commitment to serving underserved populations and a deep understanding of cultural sensitivity in healthcare.

Proven leadership abilities, including staff management, program development, and change management.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills to effectively interact with diverse staff and patients.

Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality improvement methodologies, and patient safety practices.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant medical software.

Demonstrated passion for community engagement and the ability to connect with local stakeholders.

Fluent in Spanish preferred but not required.

Annual salary: MD/ DO: $270K- $305K; NP: $200K- $245K; PA: $172,500- $210K
