Job description
An IT System Analyst is responsible for supporting and enhancing business applications to optimize workflows and ensure efficient operations across various departments. Under general supervision, the analyst creates, modifies, and maintains application platforms, ensuring they align with the organization's strategic goals. The analyst is responsible for identifying improvement opportunities, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity and compliance while also designing, installing, maintaining, evaluating, diagnosing, and monitoring both internal and third-party applications. This role requires collaboration with IT leadership and business partners to execute the vision for operational applications while adhering to technology guidelines and security protocols.
Planning, coordinating, and leading activities related to the design, development, and implementation of system build
Developing, testing and deploying customizations, custom objects, new functionality, and modules based on evolving business needs
Monitoring end-user usage of systems and tracking performance while working with other departments to ensure success in reaching their goals
Working closely with IT teammates, project leaders, internal partners, third party vendors, and end users to understand and analyze requirements and formulate technical solutions to meet evolving business needs
Providing internal, on-going system/technical support to users, including system administration, system security, system configuration, training and maintaining proper system access for all roles
Developing, documenting, and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data integrity, changes protocols, customization, and usage
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of platform functionality, customization, and integrations to support business operations
Working on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and possibly assisting other corporate initiatives as necessary
Ability to understands software and hardware requirements as applicable to the multiple application and varied departments
Ability to be the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex applications as a subject matter expert.
Ability to test, debug, implement, and document changes in systems to meet the needs of the customer or application requirements, as baseline testing
Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical team members at all organizational levels
Ability to demonstrate soft skills required; listening to customer's needs, communicating ideas clearly to customers, being an advocate for customers, understanding how to prioritize workload, and presenting ideas.
Ability to build a partnership with application vendors and their teams that enhances each product and support from an enterprise level
Ability to recommend and implement standards, policies, and procedures to achieve agreed upon service levels agreements including maintaining performance, upgrades, back-up, recovery and archive functions
Fully responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis reports.
Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and takes initiative
To be successful in this role, you would have:
A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications in relevant technologies or platforms (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP ) are highly desirable.
5+ years prior experience working within healthcare IT environments is advantageous, offering a deeper understanding of industry-specific challenges and systems.
Experience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and modern technology architectures is required to support system integration and the development of efficient technology solutions.
1 to 3 years' experience in the implementation, integration, and administration of business applications, including troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance.
A solid understanding of SQL server concepts, including querying and database management, is essential for managing data and supporting application functionality.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and business partners.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail while managing multiple priorities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business requirements.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment, showing flexibility and resilience in response to new challenges and evolving business needs.
Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for project-related activities, on-site support, or team collaboration.
