Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to lead our supply chain operations and ensure the smooth flow of goods and services from suppliers to Elve, and Elve to our customers. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective supply chain strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, and operations, with a proven ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement. You will collaborate closely with various departments, such as manufacturing, engineering, and quality, to synchronize supply chain activities with the overall business objectives. Your leadership will be vital in managing relationships with suppliers and logistics partners, ensuring high-quality service while adhering to budgetary constraints. Additionally, you will monitor and assess performance metrics to ensure that all operations align with company goals. Responsibilities:
Build, develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
Building and developing a best-in-class supply chain team from ground zero
Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including sourcing, procurement, and logistics
Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials and products
Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in the supply chain
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and logistics partners to secure the best terms
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols
Experience working in laboratories and/or cleanroom environments
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience with manufacturing and/or handling of small parts
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and experience with ERP's, MRP's and/or other production management software
Must be able to commute to, and work onsite in Davis, CA

NOTE: Because the company is just now developing production-ready product configurations, and is not yet producing in quantities, many of these responsibilities will, at first, include the hands-on execution of supply-chain related transactions until such time as volume increases justify the addition of administrative staff.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred, not required; experience and proven track record required)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or a related role
Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management
Proven track record of analyzing data to drive decision-making and strategic decisions
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage supplier relationships
Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Proficiency in supply chain software and systems, with strong Excel skills
