Overview:
To execute through administration, technical and management techniques assigned projects to ensure the successful completion, on time and within allocated budget.

Responsibilities:
Leadership and Direction

Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and broad parameters for execution. Receive direction on highly complex assignments. Independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.

At the Operational and Company Level

Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.

Assist with the marketing of the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships.

Do the Work

Supervise and conduct complex field biology assessments including, but not limited to, wetland delineations, wildlife identification, endangered species/habitat/biological assessments and surveys, wetland and stream mitigation design and monitoring, and environmental site assessments.

Meet with prospective clients, prepare proposals and establish budgets and schedules.

Direct and prepare scopes of work, study designs, reports, and environmental permit packages.

Maintain close liaison with clients to resolve all project questions, such as, but not limited to, technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries.

Support business development in generation of new business.

Support the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.

Work directly with clients to achieve site planning and permitting needs.

Prepare environmental reports, and federal, state, and local permit applications.

Research and interpret federal, state and local regulations and requirements.

Collect, manage and analyze environmental data and information.

Evaluate project permitting feasibility.

Interface with regulatory agencies.

Participate in project meetings including client, agency, and public forums.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Ecology, Biology, or related field required at the time of employment.

Registered Professional in field of expertise.

Seven or more (7+) years of relevant industry-related experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:
Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.

Mobility around an office environment.

Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Frequent outdoor work environment which may include adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.

Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Frequent and prolonged use of data collection equipment and/or drones, necessitating walking the assigned study area to complete data collection over the course of several hours.

Primarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.

Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.

Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.

Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
