Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. Role Overview: As the Manager, People Operations, you will oversee a global team responsible for critical HR operations, including employee data management, HR systems optimization, compliance, and process improvement. You will act as the backbone of our People Operations team, ensuring that our employees' needs are met quickly and efficiently while also leading initiatives that improve our overall People Operations strategy. You will manage and develop a team, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and support to excel in their roles. You are passionate about growing your team, implementing best-in-class practices, and making data-driven decisions that align with company goals while also understanding and addressing the human element behind every decision. This role combines strategy and execution-you will work hands-on with your team to optimize HR systems, manage escalations, and ensure compliance while driving continuous improvement projects. Responsibilities: Lead a global People Operations team of five or more employees and ensure consistent, high-quality HR service delivery across all functions. Foster positive employee experiences while streamlining processes for better service. Own and optimize multiple People Systems, ensuring their effectiveness and scalability. Monitor KPIs related to People Operations performance, including response times, data integrity, and employee satisfaction metrics. Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations across global locations, staying informed of changes and proactively addressing potential risks. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to create, update, and enforce policies that protect the organization. Spearhead and manage People Operations initiatives and projects from inception to successful completion, assuming accountability for project management and delivering on critical initiatives. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex HR Operations issues, providing solutions and managing further escalation when necessary. Collaborate cross-functionally with People Partners, Legal, Recruiting, and Finance to streamline and improve employee lifecycle processes, ensuring a consistent, positive experience from onboarding to offboarding. Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and system compliance, identifying operational gaps and leading initiatives to address them. Maintain data integrity within HRIS and other systems, ensuring employee data is accurate and secure. Continuously monitor and evaluate operations performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements. Provide insights into People Operations performance trends through reports and dashboards. Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, user guides, and standard operating procedures. Train HR team members and end-users on system functionality, best practices, and workflows. Facilitate cross-functional process mapping sessions to identify and address operational inefficiencies, collaborating with teams to enhance processes and implement programs that simplify the employee experience. Develop and execute program management strategies in collaboration with other stakeholders. Provide technical and functional expertise to influence project direction and success. Build business cases for new projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Keep management and stakeholders informed of project statuses, system updates, and potential risks. Analyze complex data sets to provide meaningful insights to HR leadership and stakeholders, identifying trends and informing decision-making. Coordinate and report on People Operations activities, including cyclical tasks and special projects, ensuring clear communication flows within the People team. Traits and Experience: A minimum of 6 years of progressive leadership experience in HR or People Operations, demonstrating a strategic mindset in managing global teams and complex HR systems. Proven track record in project management, policy design, and compliance enforcement, ensuring adherence to best practices. Strong change management experience, adept at navigating and leading through organizational transitions. Advanced analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data sets and generating actionable insights to inform decision-making. Proficiency in various People Operations platforms and data-driven decision-making tools, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in HR operations. Exceptional communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. A genuine passion for management and developing employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and personal and professional growth. A proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating potential risks or issues before they escalate. Leads by example, demonstrating solutions-oriented thinking and sharing knowledge with the team to encourage collaboration and innovation. Promotes a culture of continuous learning and development, encouraging team members to stay current with HR trends and best practices. Informed by both employee experience and data, balancing qualitative insights with quantitative analysis to guide HR initiatives.
