WHY WE'RE HERE We are seeking an engineer to lead our efforts to integrate Anduril-built mission simulators with a government-owned simulator called the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). Key outcomes on this role will be the following: Within 1 month, understand the code that has been written to integrate Anduril's engineering simulation with the JSE as well as the C++ plugin architecture for Anduril's mission simulator Within 2 months, get alignment across the Air Dominance business line as well as our platform engineering teams on Anduril's approach to integrating with the JSE Within 3 months, ship a minimum viable product (MVP) integration enabling arbitrary scenarios in Anduril's mission simulator to run in our local instance of the JSE Continue to increase the fidelity of Anduril's simulations and the breadth of our integration with the JSE in order to model a scenario of interest to our customer. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field. 2+ years of production-grade C++ experience in a Linux development environment Ability to integrate with sparsely-documented 3rd party services Ability to quickly understand and navigate established code bases A desire to work on critical software that has a real-world impact Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance Travel up to 30% of time to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong background with focus in Physics, Mathematics, and/or Motion Planning to inform modeling & simulation (M&S) and physical systems Past experience working the JSE and Global Reusable Interface Domain (GRID) Past experience with deploying containerized services and networking them together Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics especially in the air domain US Salary Range $138,000 - $252,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
