Job description
Red Peak Technical Services, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opening for a Technical Manual Librarian - FRCSW who will be responsible for local point of use technical libraries located throughout the Fleet Readiness Center South West (FRCSW) industrial facility as well as two (2) off-site locations (MCAS Camp Pendleton & Miramar). The work involves receiving technical publications, technical directives and associated updates, changes and revisions including formal changes, Rapid Action Changes (RACs) and Interim Rapid Action Changes (IRACs) and physically incorporating them into technical publications. Responsible for delivery of material to the dispersed libraries throughout the FRCSW.
Shall provide customer service, retrieving and delivering blueprints/drawings, and check aperture cards against various databases.
Operate and maintain designated libraries/repositories/DCCs maintained for storage, retrieval, replication, distribution, archiving, and customer service.
Operate and maintain classified document control process to provide accountability of data/media and to perform data management functions necessary to support the various libraries.
Operate, maintain, store, manage and support the Navy's digital and non- digital drawing files, TM libraries, TDP repository, configuration management and other programmatic data files and databases. Provides repository related support functions and customer service functions using existing databases using (1) or more commercially available software programs. This includes, but is not limited to, processing requests for engineering drawings and technical manuals, performing repository and technical library functions, using reproduction equipment, and performing data entry type functions.
Daily tasks may include: data/media receipt, review and entry, data/media control, inventory and audit, data reproduction, data archiving, data acquisition and retrieval support, management of technical publication, deficiency reports (TPDRs), Interim Rapid; Action Changes (IRACs), technical documentation research data dissemination/courier service and mail operations.
Provide general administrative and office support functions.
Payrate: $24.73 Hourly REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Security Clearance REQUIRED: Must already possess and be able to maintain, at minimum a SECRET security clearance.
Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with government systems, database, procedures, etc. is a plus
Prior military experience in technical publications is a plus.
Must have good communication skills.
Must have superior organization skills.
Must be able to work in a team and as an individual with minimal direction.
