Job description

The Project Manager develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all aspects to construct the project on time, within budget and to the expected quality. They provide leadership and serve as a liaison between the project team members to promote the interests of the business and the client.

The client is a vertically integrated builder that provides design, engineering and construction solutions for clients in life science, healthcare, technology, manufacturing and tenant improvement.

Description

Project Manager responsibilities:

  • Maintain adherence to standards of safety; ensuring required documentation is filed
  • Create and manage project budget for all assigned projects
  • Develop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP package
  • Conduct project meetings, set milestones, formulate monthly owner reports
  • Establish job processes including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders
  • Perform project scheduling (ensure quality and establish logistics)
  • Manage the closeout process efficiently
  • Supervise support roles (Assistant Project Manager, Admin., MEP Manager, Safety Team Members
  • Collaborate with Superintendent and site operations team during the entire project

Profile

Project Manager Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university within the construction/ engineering/ business concentrations strongly preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in commercial construction, including with a commercial general contractor
  • Previous experience in a project management role
  • Ability to execute multiple projects and /or simultaneously
  • Ability to master software systems including: Microsoft Office Suite, ProCore, Adobe, Bluebeam, JD Edwards
  • Able to read construction drawings including reading, interpreting and updating construction project-related drawings
  • Ability to organize resources (people, tools, time)
  • Knowledge of current market conditions including industry pricing conventions and trends
  • Able to carry oneself as a leader and knowledge holder of the project
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude
  • Communicate Clearly, concisely, and professionally
  • Take initiative and seek responsibility
  • Demonstrate integrity consistent with company values
  • Seek Continuous Self-improvement
  • Foster positive relationships
