Job description
Volt is immediately hiring for Quality Assurance in Cerritos, CA
Enjoy a 4/10 schedule and 3 days off per week.
As a Quality Assurance you will:
• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System, including changes and improvements
• Ensure compliance with AS9100:ISO9001 and NADCAP
• Assures product quality and manufacturing accuracy by properly using inspection equipment
• Perform interval system audits to Quality Manual Standards
• Audit inspectors for accuracy
• Manage annual equipment certifications
• Ensures that product conforms to standards by correctly reading blueprints and applicable specifications and effectively using inspection measuring equipment
• Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude
• Complies with all company policies and procedures
• Able to perform open set ups for first piece inspections and validations
• Performs First Article Inspections to current AS9102 standards
• Conduct in-process and final inspections in accordance with priorities established in the manufacturing/production plan
• Maintains product quality documentation by keeping accurate records and files
• Support non-conforming product procedures, first article inspections, source inspections, and audits
• Spot check inspections as needed
• Collaborate with operations team to eliminate non-conformances
This is a full time opportunity. 4 days a week. 10 hours per day.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Working knowledge of AS9100 requirements
• Familiar with NADCAP heat treating procedures
• Be able to pass AS9100:ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Training or already hold cert
• Ability to read and interpret customer Blueprints, drawings, specs and standards
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Experience with First Article Processes and documentation
• Experience with quality equipment and calibration processes
• Strong computer and analytical skills
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Problem Solving Skills
• Ability to adapt and be flexible
• Communication Skills, both written and verbal
• Detail oriented
• Ability to organize and plan
• Self-directed
Schedule: 5am to 330pm
Days: Monday-Thursday
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
