Our Carpinteria, CA location is seeking a Sr Staff Systems Engineer to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us? THE POSITION Sr Staff Systems Engineer, Continental Autonomous Mobility US, LLC, Carpinteria, CA: Design and develop automotive solutions to coordinate Systems Engineering activities. Solutions may include System Architecture and Design, Cyber Security & Privacy Management, Functional Safety, Homologation, Requirement Management, Product Specification Test and Industrialization, System FMEA. Drives cross-discipline technical discussions and integration activities between different disciplines (electronics, software, algorithm, mechanics). Manages and derives system requirements of complex LIDAR systems for automotive applications. Plans and coordinates the core technical group to develop new technological solutions and reports their status to the project management organization. Analyzes and negotiates requirements with internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for evaluating customer specifications and translating the system requirements to test traceability. Telecommuting permitted up to 50% per week. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. $180,284.00 - $189,150.00 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Mechatronic Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate, related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in all of the following: Automotive electronics engineering experience, including experience developing automotive sensors; Developing System Architecture work products, including System and Product Architecture, System FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), and Safety and Security Concepts; Engineering experience working within the Automotive Product Life Cycle Process; Using DOORS Requirements Database, PTC IMS Integrity, CANoe, Jazz, JIRA, and Confluence; and Designing and implementing automotive processes to ensure products comply with quality standards and certifications, including ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination) and IATF (International Automotive Task Force). Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following: Defining cybersecurity requirements and monitoring their implementation, traceability and validation across the product development cycle; and Coordinating Agile Teams using SAFe methodology.
