Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Group Manager with a focus on electronic components, including semiconductors, active and passive components, as well as Electromechanical (EM) and Mechanical (ME) commodities. The Group Manager will lead a team of Global Supply Managers and manage supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products while aligning with the overall supply chain strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals focused on EE, ME, and EM commodities for PCBAs.

Supplier Collaboration:

Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify and qualify potential suppliers that meet our expectations and timelines.

Sourcing and Negotiation:

Create RFQs, review, analyze, and clarify supplier quotations, and develop sourcing recommendations that balance cost, quality, lead time, and technical considerations.

Negotiate contracts, including parts pricing, tooling costs, and Engineering Services (NRE/EDT).

Production Management:

Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for prototype and production parts and tooling.

Supplier Development:

Manage tooling timelines, part availability for prototype builds, and production starts, addressing delays or issues proactively.

Relationship Management:

Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as the primary contact for all commercial issues, providing internal updates on sourcing status, parts availability, and cost.

Reporting:

Present upward status of objectives, strategies, and remedies to any issues.

Travel Requirements:

Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers for business and program reviews.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Technical/Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; MBA or master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience related to relevant commodities.

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of key development, testing, and manufacturing processes for electronics components.

Product Launch Experience:

Experience in product launch from design concept to production.

Analytical Skills:

Strong understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Communication Skills:

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).

Creative Problem-Solving:

Ability to creatively and effectively mitigate unforeseen challenges.
