Job Overview:
Legacy Supply Chain is hiring an experienced Transportation Operations Manager to support our fleet located in Brea, CA. The Transportation Operations Manager will be responsible responsible for overseeing the daily work of the operations which includes maximizing processes and procedures while meeting the customer expectations. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.
Schedule and Compensation:
Monday through Friday schedule starting at 2:00am
Starting salary between $80,000 and $100,000 per year

What to expect as Transportation Operations Manager:
Supports the daily performance of fleet operations including safety, compliance, driver leadership, equipment utilization, and fleet maintenance.
Manage driver performance and activity to ensure a safe work environment and high level of customer service.
Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, drivers, and delivery locations.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, federal and state regulations, as well as company rules and policies
Create a positive work environment that is consistent with the Company's values and objectives.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Lead workplace safety improvement through utilization of EHS and compliance processes, systems, policies and initiatives.
Ensure all operations are carried on in a service focused, cost-effective way
Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
Support the organization's processes to remain legally compliant
Formulate strategic and operational objectives
Examine financial data and use it to improve profitability
Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
Interview, train and supervise staff across sites and shifts
Work with customer staff on-site to enhance service performance and productivity.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5 years of increased responsibility within supply chain or transportation functions.
BA or BS preferred or equivalent related work experience
Availability to lead team performance across 3 shift operations with primary working hours Monday through Friday beginning at 2am.
Experience managing local CDL drivers.
Strong analytical, financial, and P&L competencies required to succeed.
Knowledge of key transportation processes and current best practices.
Experience supervising driver dispatch department preferred.
Ability to influence and persuade in order to achieve desired outcomes.
Ability to effectively communicate, interact and convey business decisions with many different levels within the organization.
Experience with and knowledge of DOT regulations
Proven work experience as an operations/transportation supervisor
Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
Experience with budgeting and forecasting
Familiarity with business and financial principles
Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, and organizational skills
