Associate degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; additional years of relevant experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
Must have experience in accounting from a manufacturing or aerospace company.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel: Must be advanced in Excel skills.
Ability to work independently and with flexibility in a fast paced and changing environment.
Must be willing and able to work flexible hours and overtime when needed to meet reporting and deliverable deadlines.
Nice to Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Manufacturing industry experience, preferably in defense or aerospace
Experience with Infor BAAN or Deltek Costpoint
Government accounting is a plus.
Job Description:
Provides transactional processing support to the department for routine transactions, such as accounts payable processing, accounts receivable billing/invoicing, payroll, time & labor and bank reconciliations.
Ensures accurate transactional data within ERP System.
Works with customers and vendors to address data discrepancies or address various business-related inquiries.
Confirms transactions and data is processed according to ERP system and compliance requirements. Proactively addresses issues with impacted individuals to ensure data is processed in a compliant and timely manner.
Brings issues to attention to the right individuals and trains others as needed to ensure system data is processed in an appropriate manner.
Assists with reconciling assigned financial accounts, investigates questionable data, and recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
Uses existing systems to input data, generate reports, conduct research projects and respond to related inquiries.
Assists with the preparation of the reporting schedules and other internal reporting requests.
Assists with other accounting department tasks and reporting as required.
Adheres to company Sarbanes-Oxley Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFRs) as well as GAAP and company Corporate Accounting Policies. Please see our website for more job openings:
