Job description

Duties Conducts coordination, synchronization, de-confliction, and execution of targeting effects in support o fU.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), Africa Command (AFRICOM) and Component commands (ASCCs). Provides technical expertise and guidance to commanders and decision makers with respect to targeting effects and possible collateral damage to better inform decisions during targeting boards, coordinates cyber effects. Prepares and present briefings at the GO/FO level that have targeting and/or fires related planning considerations and issues. Trains and instructs staff from US AFRICOM and Components, subordinate units and interagency representatives on relevant fires and targeting topics. Planning and synchronizing non-lethal and information operations targeting actions in support of offensive cyberspace operations (OCO) Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Three year trial/probationary period may be required. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on SSBI with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Incumbent must be willing to take and successfully pass a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI/Poly). Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 25% of the time. Shift work, irregular tours of duty and/or extended duty may be required. Incumbent is subject to no notice call-ins during non-duty hours for crisis action, contingency deployments, and other short notice operations This position is a testing designated position (TDP) in accordance with (IAW) Drug Free Federal Workplace Program. As a precondition and continuing condition of employment, the incumbent of this position must agree to submit urinalysis testing on a recurring basis. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Planning, integrating, synchronizing, and coordinating targeting efforts and cyberspace operations in support of Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Components, and Army Service component commands (ASCCs) requirements. (2) Conducting deliberate, crisis and contingency planning to support military and national objectives (3) Training staff, subordinate units, and interagency representatives on cyberspace operations, and (4) Directing policy planning for the application of offensive cyberspace operations and the effects across the entire spectrum of competition and conflict, and (5) Familiarity with the Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP) in support of full spectrum cyberspace operations planning. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months.
