About this role:

The Mental Health Professional provides clinical services to individuals under the supervision of the Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor or Mental Health Director. They conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidenced-based psychotherapeutic interventions. Additionally, they provide mental health consultation and training to facility staff.

What you bring to the table:

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university.

Experience

Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation.

Licenses/Certifications

LSW, LMSW, LPC, or similar licensure in the state from the appropriate state licensing board; Must maintain CPR certification and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required.
What you will do:
Provide direct clinical and consultation services in line with policies, procedures, and professional ethical standards, including individual and group psychotherapy to reduce maladaptive behavior and enhance psychological functioning.
Deliver crisis intervention services, consulting with institutional staff as needed, and manage mental health follow-ups for self-referred or institutionally referred individuals.
Complete Clinical Service Reports and relevant clinical documentation, including diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing, ensuring timely, professional reporting as per company policies and state regulations.
Offer consultation services to institutional committees and staff, addressing mental status, management concerns, and supporting institutional psychiatric staff in monitoring mental conditions.
Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and specialized clinical services or program development, ensuring accountability through timely and accurate documentation as part of the Quality Improvement program.
