LINES OF AUTHORITY: This position reports to the Chief Clinical Officer or Director of Business Operations. This position provides clinical supervision to Clinical Staff that provide outpatient services.
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides direct Clinical Supervision to all assigned therapists and case management staff. Coordinates and collaborates with internal and external customers. Promotes adherence to accepted clinical, operational, and ethical standards as described in policy.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains oversight of client treatment and provision of covered services. Develop and implement with the clinical team, site-based services to meet client needs adhering to clinic policy, Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and Regional Behavioral Health Authority standards as evidenced by data and chart auditing. Implements program changes and monitors appropriate standards of care per policy. May provide direct services at times, based on clinical and administrative need.
2. Assist in managing service utilization and service value by monitoring staff productivity, caseloads, in actives and unassigned clients through review of monthly reports. Data will demonstrate compliance or progress toward compliance.
3. Provides Individual and Group clinical supervision in accordance with licensing standards. Complete Supervision Documentation for all supervisory activities.
4. Facilitates the professional development of staff and monitors required training. Recognizes staff accomplishments regularly. Adheres to the progressive disciplinary process when necessary.
5. Supports staff in clinic crisis response process during clinic hours and after hours.
6. Ensures personal and staff adherence to clinical and ethical standards per MCO, State Funding agencies, CMS policies and procedures. Models' professional boundaries. Follows policy and procedure in reporting a breach of ethics as evidenced by reports sent to the QM department. Maintains adherence with the clinic personnel policy.
7. Participates in Clinical Leadership activities which operationalize ADHS, MCO and CMS standards. Provide training on initiatives, policies, forms, and programs as evidenced by training logs. Collaborate with other clinical leaders to maintain a consistent service delivery system. Participates in workgroups, committees or other team activities as evidenced by Meeting Minutes.
8. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal customers. Communicates and coordinates with other departments and services as indicated, such as IS, Medical Records, Data and Customer Service demonstrated by constructive problem resolution.
9. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders and community resources as demonstrated by the development of working community relationships. May attend community meetings, agency meetings or participate in other collaborative activities.
10. Maintains professional licensure and ongoing professional development. Complies with all supervisory licensing standards. Maintain CEU hours for licensure and for supervisor position. Maintains current license.
11. Participate in the Performance Improvement in the Clinic.
12. Work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines: always demonstrates cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUISITES:
Qualifications and Experiences:
Required:
Master's Degree in a Behavioral Health Field and currently licensed Behavioral health Professional
Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance to drive Clinic vehicles.
_ MUST HAVE FINGERPRINT CLEARANCE CARD IN GOOD STATUS IN ORDER TO APPLY _
At least two years' therapy experience in a clinical setting.
Preferred:
Supervisory experience.
Licensed at the independent level as a Behavioral Health Professional
Prior experience working in a mental health setting.
CPR and First Aid.
Knowledge of community resources and an understanding of managed care.
Familiarity with commonly used psychotropic drugs and their side effects.
